July Update!

Hey everyone! July is here, and gosh it doesn't feel right. I feel like it was only just May and I was in Australia, but it has been a good month and a half since then. I think June has been one of my best blogging months of the year and I do want that to continue into July. I managed to get a total of 7 posts up in the month, hosted a giveaway on our Facebook page, celebrated Diego's birthday, and had a photoshoot at one of the Small Dog Socials. All in all, I feel it was successful and am quite proud of the work I have put in.

I have recently had to move back to my mothers home due to unforeseen circumstances, and the horrible thing about this is that mum does not have a fenced yard. This means that for the last few weeks of June and the first few weeks of July Diego will be still living at my old home. All should be fine by the end of the month though, I am picking up a new car this weekend and then working on fencing a yard for him in the next week or two. I will try to keep up with Diego based posts, but if you do notice a lull in photos and posts of him you all know why.
Another thing with moving back to mums is that I am now further away from work, roughly an hour to two hour commute each way. So once I finally get Diego back with me we will be enjoying early morning and late night walks. I am looking into what kind of harness or leash that I can get that helps with visibility in dark. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear it.
Diego won a competition for a treat tester for Puss and Pooch. This is such an awesome experience and we just received our package from them! I am so excited to see how the treats go and then review them for both Puss and Pooch and give our blog a sneak peek also.

I think that is all that I need to update you all on. If there are any other updates you will hear it first on our Facebook page, so go like that so you can keep up to date on our content.

I had given up on goals posts monthly as I never managed to go through with my goals so therefore there was no real point in them and they left me feeling a bit of a let down. Since I have been doing so well recently at blogging and keeping up on social media I decided to try again and we can see how this goes.

  1. First goal is to get a proper domain name. This isn't a hard goal, but I have been blogging for long enough now that I should make that investment.
  2. Post twice a week. What I love about some of the dog bloggers that I follow is that they have regular updates. I can rely on them to have something up every few days for me to read, and I really enjoy that. This is what I have been lacking on, so this is my first task in becoming a better blogger.
  3. Taking more time to take photographs. I have been trying this for the month of June and really enjoying it. I have a huge folder of photos from June, and it makes me happy to look back on. Another great thing to come out of this is the Photo a Day series that I have been doing. I think that the more photos I take, the better I am getting and with that I am more confident. Really there is no loss to be made here.
That should be enough for this month. Straight forward, and hopefully quite easy so that I can achieve them. Is there anything in particular you would like to see this month? Any certain themes or blog ideas that you would like to hear mine or Diego's opinion on? Feel free to leave a comment down below.
Thanks for reading :)
