12DOC: Jeddy Bears Tugs n Toys

This is Day 11 of our 12 Days of Christmas Posts. I will have all posts together on one page, so that you can go through that page if you are interested in reading all of our posts. You can view that page here. All giveaways within this period last two weeks from the day that the post is originally posted, and are only available within New Zealand. Giveaway winners will be announced on my social media and vlog channel. Now let's get into today's post:

Jeddy Bears Tugs n Toys is a business based in Ashburton, New Zealand that focuses on making a range of dog toys and coats. It is run by Rhiannon who is the lovely sister of Mady from TheDustyDingos. This year I got two coats from them for Diego and Chico to get them through those freezing cold Winter days that I really do not miss. We actually reviewed those coats as well, you can view that review here. Alongside the coats that I purchased, Rhiannon was super kind to send us one of her Giraffe toys, as well as a rope toy with possum fur in it. Funny fact, I actually had some offcuts of possum fur from when my aunty owned a possum fur company that I sent to both Jeddy Bears Tugs n Toys as well as Cotton Tails Store to use in their products.

I love the look of the giraffe toy, it is so quirky and a bit strange which makes it even cooler. I got one in this amazing graffiti print, and have had it staring at me from across the room since I received it. I didn't want Diego to have it because he is such a brat with soft toys that it would be destroyed in seconds. I didn't really know what I would do with it, but I definitely didn't want it to get ruined in anyway. The giraffe is made from a polar fleece outer, which then is stuffed with either left over fabrics or typical soft toy stuffing. I love the idea of using off cuts of fabric to stuff toys with. Not only is this a perfect way to reduce waste, it actually makes the toy more interesting for your dog to chew, and if they do get through the first layer of fabric, it's not as messy of clean up.

Ollie has recently started to enjoy toys more and more, and his absolute favourite is soft toys. He throws them around in the air, pounces on them and just runs around with them, however he hasn't really got into the craze of instantly destroying them. With that in mind, I decided to gift him this giraffe and he loves it. He spends ages throwing it around, and mouthing it in his bed. He isn't too hard on his toys, so currently there is still no sign of damage but I cannot promise that with a more destructive dog.

What Diego and I have got lots of use out of is the braided polar fleece tug toy. Diego is obsessed with possum fur, so is really hard on this toy when we play with it. He grabs at it, and chews on it erratically trying to get the fur out of the braid, with currently not much success. I have found this an awesome tug of war toy to play with as when he pulls, the braiding expands and then retracts back when he lets the toy go. This makes it a lot less jarring on your arm when you are playing a ferocious game of tug of war. It is super comfortable on your hands to be holding polar fleece instead of rope, and I don't get terrible burns on my hands like I usually do with traditional rope toys.

This toy also doubles as a great toy to play with a kitten with, and was a lot of fun to play with Summer's new kitten Mushu. He would chase it all over the room, and then once caught would spend a while chewing and kicking it. It was cute to see him with it, and now I am torn on whether to keep it for Diego and I, or give it to Summer for Mushu. I am thinking I will keep my one, and will get Summer a new one!

Rhiannon and Mady were kind enough to send us a giraffe and tug toy for you to win! The giraffe is in a gorgeous bright pink polar fleece, and I cannot for the life of me remember what colour the tug toy is, however it does not have the possum fur braided in. We cannot request for you to follow our Social Media pages, but I know both Rhiannon and I would greatly appreciate it if you did as it helps us out a lot. To enter the giveaway, just follow the steps below and the winner will be drawn in two weeks.
