12DOC: Luna & Harley's Boutique

This is Day 5 of our 12 Days of Christmas Posts! I will have all posts together on one page, so that you can go through that page if you are interested in reading all of our posts. You can view that page here. All giveaways within this period last two weeks from the day that the post is originally posted, and are only available within New Zealand. Giveaway winners will be announced on my social media and vlog channel. Now let's get into today's post:

Luna & Harley's Boutique is another Auckland based business that makes homemade goodies for your pooch. It wasn't until I started writing these posts that I realised how many of the businesses I have featured started in Auckland! Jess is the head honcho behind Luna & Harley's and not only makes super cute bandanas and bow ties, she also has dabbled into dog treats. The boutique also stocks some other products from other businesses including Clark & Co Petware which you all know, I am obsessed with.

Let us start with her dog apparel, because I cannot get over this bowtie that she sent for Diego to wear! Jess makes both bandanas and bowties, however as we know I am not the biggest fan of over the collar bandanas, I opted for one of these gorgeous bowties, and I am not disappointed in the slightest. If you like over the collar bandanas, I would recommend them as the detail within the bowtie must translate to the bandanas as well. The bowtie is on an elastic so that you can just stretch it over the collar of your choosing, and with the width of Diego's collars, it sits perfectly. It also does not twist, or move around the collar which is amazing! The size of the bowtie compared to Diego is also perfect, not too big that he looks like a clown, and then not so small that it looks dicky.

This watermelon print is adorable, and super Summery! I wanted to do a photoshoot with Diego eating half a watermelon while wearing it, but all the watermelon at my supermarket were like half white, and didn't look cute. So please expect that photoshoot further into the Summer! They also make a bandana in this same Summery, watermelon print which would look super cute on many dogs. My other favourite print of theirs is the bee print, can you tell I am loving the idea of Summer?
When writing this post I just saw the Tartan Bow Ties, and if you read my Rocco & Co post, you know tartan is my overall favourite pattern of the season.

Moving on to the treats, I honestly have no words on how cute these are. I opened them up with Mady from The Dusty Dingos when she was up here for the pet expo, and we both were dying with how cute they are. I also showed them to my sister, and she was keen to eat one herself. As you can see from the photos, they are all treats that look like the human counterparts, but with dog safe ingredients. Diego is obsessed with them, as I knew he would be, since there isn't much Diego will not eat. They are hard cookie type treats, so perfect for giving as a treat, or putting into a Kong. I wouldn't recommend these for training treats though as they do not break easily into smaller pieces, and the carob can get a bit messy. These are the sweetest treats for your dogs Christmas or birthday presents though, and would be amazing to give out at a dog birthday party.

These treats are also the perfect treat to give to dog owners for their own birthdays, or just as a sweet present for your friend. They are the kind of treat that looks so well made, and quirky to look at. I love that Jess manages to make them look so cute, while only handmaking them! Anytime I have ever handmade a dog biscuit, it never turns out as cute as hers. She also uses human grade ingredients that are safe for dogs, and that your dog will actually enjoy.

One of my favourite things about Luna & Harley's Boutique is how they are eco-conscious. They have thought about their packaging and how they send their products to ensure they are doing as little damage to the earth as possible. If you know me, you will know this is something I am passionate but find so hard to cope with in the pet industry. Everything seems to be overly wrapped in plastic, or unnecessarily bubble wrapped on shipment. Jess has turned that on its head by using recycled boxes to ship in, and then using cardboard scraps cut up instead of bubble wrap throughout the box. The treats are wrapped in paper wrapping, which surprisingly for eco-friendly looks adorable and I have to say, is one of the cutest and thought through packaging I have seen in a while. I love these extra touches that she puts in, and appreciate the extra effort. If you weren't already sold, this is another big reason why you need to support Luna & Harley's Boutique!

Now, I know what you all like to see, and possibly why you read my entire blogs these days, the giveaway. Luna & Harley's Boutique was ever so kind to send us a $20 gift card to use at their store for one lucky winner. This means that you get to chose whatever you want from their site and get it shipped directly to your door. You can also through in some extras as well if you can't decide on just $20 worth of stuff. As I love to remind you all, we cannot request follows or likes on our Social Media pages but it means so much to both Jess and I that if you like what we are doing that you support us by keeping up to date on our social medias.
